APOTICALIZATION OF ACHIEVEMENT OF ZAAR SONS AND DAUGHTERS BY ISOZI; A MODULE FOR ZAAR UNITY

Unity is the commitment to a culture and mission, a sense of solidarity, lack of conflict, and general positive attitude towards others in one’s social category” - Neil J. Smelser.

Just like any homogeneous society, Zaar society is grounded to its identity in the historical development of its own culture. We can distinguish the three main components of Zaar societies to: (1) the shared set of norms, values, beliefs and attitudes, (2) the created artefacts, and (3) the people as constituting members of the society. The aforementioned identities are what foster unity in every cultural society in the world.

With time, certain divisive elements such as economic opportunities, politics and religion crept into our societies to create disunities. A critical analysis of Zaar land unity before Nigeria’s fourth republic was very solid under the leadership of Late Baba Peter Gonto and his Zaure. History shows how Zaar people were united and led to our stand against external aggressions, economic deprivation and general stigmatization of Zaar citizen it public services and other facets of life.

Permit me to point out that if an enemy has sworn to pull you down, he develops strategies on how to achieve his objectives which could be a long term plan. Strategies could be categorized on levels of escalation until your last defense is pulled down. It is not always about physical wars but spiritual and psychological warfare are involved.

Attacking the Zaar nation physically through hired assassins in 1991, 1995, 2001, 2005, 2010, 2011 and 2012 did not shake Zaar land but instead led to the enemy’s massive loss of lives, time, energy and resources. They stopped the face to face aggression and strategy was escalated to depriving Zaarites economic and developmental opportunities in our societies and places of work. Still, that did not work; instead Zaar nation became more progressive and independent economically, educationally and politically. They understood our strength in “UNITY” and they strategized to pull that down. They peeped through our weaknesses and understood that some saboteurs can easily key into their objectives towards bringing down the unity of the land. The easiest way to weaken your opponent is to attack it from the inside. Hence politics set in and as predicted, the saboteurs who are selfishly motivated began directly or indirectly playing the games. Some danced to the music ignorantly while some fully aware just for their personal interest.

Of recent, politicizing every intent or good deed is the order of the day. People in the land are drawn along camps, interests and having divided loyalties for institutions, political parties and elites. The rivalry and tear is on the increase and causing more havoc in the land. It is now very common for political reason to kill a brother or destroy his or her property without remorse; it is now very common to blackmail your fellow brother who is not in line with your personal interest and classify him an enemy; it is now very common to write a petition and aid towards incarceration of your brother.

This necessitated International society of Zaar Intellectual (ISOZI) to play a part towards restoring a balance. ISOZI is in the interest of Zaarland and not any individual or political party. Every Zaarite who demonstrates the willingness to key in to the general interest of the land without selfish or ulterior motive is worthy of our support and admiration. ISOZI does not segregate based on profession, politics, clan or religion. We celebrate and recognize every public figure in the land irrespective of his or her political affiliation, progress, profession or ideology demonstrated in our works and publications shown in the following links ….

We urge every Zaarite to be deliberate with his or her intentions. Our pressure groups have a great task to bear and only when leaders are neutral and blameless before they can be trusted to mitigate the changes we desire. We should be carefully with the effect of politics on the unity of our land. We cannot do without politics but we should separate it from the affairs of the land. We can heal our land from divisions and become one people. I do not speak of leaders and opportunists who are incurable, but of the honest and well-intentioned body of Zaarites.

“There is nothing which I dread so much as division of the society into two or more great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other” – John Adam.
